hmm seems that aixiz has no stock for the 5mw and 10mw modules… are the 25mw ones overkill/safe?

Just tested: lasers really need at least 3.2V to operate.. I just put 4.5V on my laser AND THEY WORK!!! smile

whooohoo.. testing for testing laser liners smile..

Be carefull with this, all of this current stuff is weird. You dunno the output power of those lasers.

For time zone reference I am located in Anchorage, Alaska.
8 hours later and the laser powered by 4.5v is still going. I would like to know the minimum power requirements, but I don’t have a power supply with a fine adjustment such as a bench top power supply.

Hey guys, just thought I would add to this.. I just did a test run with my 10mW 780nM lasers from Aixiz and they seem to work fine. I’m running them off a standard wall adapter set to 4.5V output.
One quick question on the side though, for people who also got the 120 degree line lenses at Aixiz; the line seems to be a little bit fuzzy (I tried putting the lens in facing the the laser, and facing away from it. Doesn’t seem to make much of a difference). Is this because it’s such a wide angle? The stem from a wineglass seems to be making a sharper line, but I imagine it generates a smaller angle. Has anyone else experienced this/have an explanation for that?

you might try screwing in the lens slowly and watch the line sharpen. in other words adjust the lens until it is crisp

Hi, thanks for the fast reply. Yeah.. I haven’t really been able to try that since I don’t have my goggles in yet. I just did a test run to see if they work, because apparently some people were having trouble. I can’t really adjust or tweak anything, don’t want to do that without protection. Should the lens be screwed in with the “ribs” facing towards the laser?

I had the same question in another post, and everyone answered yes, the smooth side is pointing out and tha ribs pointing in towards the laser.
