What is the best camera to buy for MT.  Performance wise regardless of the cost.

With your budget...cameras are prolly not the way to go.
Cameras were introduced because they are cost effective to enable a big surface multi-touch experience.

You can apply the thinsight (google it) technology on a bigger scale to achieve what you want. Or get a capacitive screen manufacturer to make you one.

Thanks Hype.  I googled thinsight and capacitive screen manufacturer, but with no luck.  Do you know a name of a manufacturer i can look up to call and order one?

If I buy this, I don’t need a projector, IR LED ribbons, and the acrylic right?

check the first link on google with thinsight, the pdf written by billbuxton. Within the document you’ll find which components they use.
