Does anybody know a seller that sells the SFH485 in the US (or that will ship to the US for less than 100 pounds)?

Thanks!

Digikey.com will. Just type in “SFH485” on their keyword search.

Digikey.com will. Just type in “SFH485” on their keyword search.

mouser.com has them for 27 cents (US) each, at Digikey they’re 57 cents.

when you search for SFH485 at mouser the part that comes up is 512-QED222.  I would guess that’s just a compatible part
made by someone else.

I’m not sure where you are in the US. But the Bay Area has Jameco, they sell a very wide variety of LEDs, including the SFH485s. But i do like digikey very much for ordering electronics.

I bought them from the Electronic Goldmine.  They didn’t come with specs, but they were cheap and I didn’t have to futz with eBay or shipping from the East Coast.

Hey, know this is an old post but unless I’m reading something wrong in the datasheet, it looks like the radiant intensity of the “QED222” is only 32mW/sr so these aren’t really comparable to the SFH485 at all.  Someone please correct me if I’m wrong...still very new to this
