Was just doing some experimenting with Quartz Composer and am having problems with the TUIO between it and tbeta. Everything is great when I use the cursor output of the TUIO patch with the TUIO simulator but I can’t seem to get anything when I switch to my actual table. There’s probably something I’m missing here because I would’ve assumed that where the data is coming from is irrelevant as long as everything’s pointed at the same port. I’ve only seen Quartz mentioned with BBTouch so maybe that has something to do with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try the recommended link above. Also, there was a bug in tbeta TUIO that I recently fixed. I’m not sure if that’s the problem (it still should connect and send). I’ll be releasing an update with the fix sometime this week.
tried the wiki page a while ago but without any luck, thanks for the suggestion. other than the bug would their be any major difference in the TUIO data being sent by tbeta compared to the cursor events with the simulator?
Indeed I am using 1.1, just downloaded it today! The flash demos seem to be much more stable, however, it seems the quartz composer issue still exists. Additionally, I noticed when you go to about on (tbeta) configapp it shows version as 1.0 still, might want to change that to 1.1?
If you’d like, I can send you an example of one of the quartz patches I did up and am testing with…
When I open tbeta 1.1, and click configapp in my menu bar, and click “about configapp,” it says 1.0 there.
It’s a simple fix-- I fixed my copy just by editing Info.plist (bundle version) from 1.0 to 1.1.
I’ll email you one of my .qtz patches by the email I usually contact you at, cool?
BTW, very strange it doesn’t work if it sends the messages out the same way as I’ve tested my quartz patches with tuio simulator...hrmmm
Oh ok. Actually it shouldn’t even say configapp, it should say tbeta. So i’ll fix that. I’m not too familiar with OSX so probably why I missed that. I didn’t realize it puts version numbers up; ill look into it. Best way to know the version number is just from the download link and changelog inside.
Just thought I’d let you know that after further testing, we’re still getting flosc crashes when a decent amount of fingers are on the screen simultaneously. Anybody else verify this on os x?

It sounds like maybe I didn’t update the TUIO code in the new mac version 1.1. I’ll check today and make sure I get that as the 5 finger problem was an issue before I fixed TUIO.
LOL
So I was launching the old flosc with the new tbeta.
Using the new 1.1 I can do more than 5, but it crashes around 15 now.

hmmmmm......well I don’t have an answer for that right now since tbeta sends the same code as any other tracker. I’m not sure what you mean by the ‘old flosc.’ It shouldn’t matter which flosc you use as long as your using the latest tbeta.
