does anyone know how to remove the IR filter from the lens i know it’s easier to just replace the lens, but i want to know if it’s possible to just remove it

I’ve got about 6 cameras so I hope I am remembering the right one.  You have to carve or dig it out. It’s at the back of the lens, the first thing you see. Just dig around it with a sharp edge where the lens and plastic join until you can get under it, then you can pry it out.  Don’t worry to much about damaging it, you don’t need it.

nop, you’re not ...

Ir filter is painted over the lens , so you have to take the lens and buy a new one without coating

Sorry about that. You are absolutely right. I have 2 SPC900NCs and I replaced the lenses in both of them.

Yes it’s true. Replacing the lens is what I did to.
