Hello.

http://www.ingenieursonline.co.uk/page3/page3.html

I wanted the NUI group members to be the first people to see our new screens designed for use with flickOS, the first finished screen arrived today.  We are basing our hardware on existing technology and adding some code to enable full multitouch capability.  The hardware comes in 26, 32, 48 and 50 inch sizes and is 4 inches thin (17 and 19 inch versions are available at 2 inches thin).  The systems come complete with computer hardware and software and we offer a full bespoke software facility.

We are working really hard on getting flickOS to work on a variety of platforms, and as soon as it does the link will be posted here.  Also, we may be hiring soon so to all the people e-mailing me regarding jobs and internships, please send a CV briefly outlining why you want to work for us and what you are passionate about.  We are in no way interested in your education or lack of it (we rebelled against it ourselves) so you don’t need to tell us about that.  What you do, what you like, and how you can help us change the world is all we need.

OK, I have to keep coding.

So you guys look like you are making some HD TVs multitouch, right?
Thus you are not using the optical based setups seen here on nui..?
Looks great, cant wait to see more photos and videos.

The interface looks really cool! Is it using capacitance or some other techniques underneath the LCD?

Hello.

The hardware is a mix of capacitance and resonance sensors to get the best of both types of hardware, resonance for fingers and capacitance for object and shape tracking.  We are however working with visual based systems, the flickOS MT for Visual Hardware will be the version we release for public use when it’s ready as we doubt anyone will have the hardware for the other versions unless they care to order. smile

If anyone is interested the 32 inch HD screen complete with software, hardware and hand made bamboo case is £4995.00 inc. VAT, shipping and installation with 12 months support and a 10 year screen warranty.  The screens are incredibly strong, the warranty does not cover accidents or excessive testing of how strong they are of course!

We are now looking for interns to work on our new software, Evolve.

Quick, but very poor quality video:  http://www.ingenieursonline.co.uk/page3/page3.html
