@Loon:

That error you are seeing shouldn’t be an error as such, it is just informing you that it cannot access the source control database, which is expected. Hitting OK should still allow the project to load and allow you to work with the solution without source control. I see this error and the code compile’s fine for me. Maybe i’ve misunderstood, anyway hope this helps.

@Daniel:

Nice work!! I was hoping you could answer a couple of question’s I have.
1) Does the driver you’ve written have a license associated with it. GNU General Public License??
2) Will you be making the driver source code available?

Many thanks

What license would you prefer, and why?

Hi Daniel

That of course is up to you. You’re the one who has put the hard work in! I’ve been investigating the touch interfaces for windows 7, .NET 3.5, 4.0, unmanaged API and the driver framework. I nowhere near understand the driver stuff, but as I understand it, it requires a kernel mode driver where certain things are not allowed, .NET etc. Your solution seems to bridge the gap and allow third party touch systems to interact with windows 7 directly. I was just wondering if your driver was up for general consumption by the masses, both commercial and non-commercial. As for the source code, I was just curious.

In short, Multi touch Vista is released under the GNU general public license (correct me if I’m wrong). Is the driver bound by the same license?

Cheers

For now it is under GNU license.
I’m thinking about later releasing the driver as general software hid driver.

I have made a 64 bit version of driver. But to install the driver on 64 bit windows it must be digital signed. Does any one know how to get the digital certificate?

your driver need to pass the windows driver tests

infos @ http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/winlogo/wlk/default.mspx#b

some driver also can be installed after setting Bcdedit /set noparitycheck ON (disables this security check)

( Bcdedit /set noparitycheck OFF to put it on again)

Driver does not need to pass Windows Logo. It need only to be signed. I have used test certificate for tests. But it is not a solution for every user.

I am very interested in getting this working on my computer(windows 7 rc). I attempted to compile with the express version of vs and i had downloaded windows sdk and multitouchvista but still could not get it to work. I was just wondering if there will be a pre-compiled version or a standalone driver sometime soon.

It is possible to run the ps3 eye setup file on windows 7 and you can even run CCV or (or the older t beta) with almost no issues
