Sorry if this has been discussed, I did a searched but didn’t find an answer…

most vendors of bandpass filters sell them as lens attachments for cameras… i found some scientific sources that sell material that can be cut but it is very small sizes and very expensive (my guess is the intention is to mount small pieces directly to ccd’s)…

Does anyone know of a product that will block all light, except IR at about 900nm, in larger sheets? I’d love to have an 8.5” x 11” sheet to cut strips from.

Thanks. much appreciated.

Contact the ebay member omegabob2 (http://myworld.ebay.com/omegabob2/)...he is the main supplier of IR band pass filters here on the nui forums.  Im sure a sheet will be pretty expensive though.  You should look into automotive and sunlight blocking films, probably cheaper.

yeah I wrote to OmegaBob earlier, didn’t hear back yet… i have been using developed film as well as auto tint… both work fine but I was hoping for something with a “spec"… i really want to limit the passthrough to as close to 900nm as possible… it’s an outdoor application, while I will be under a tent but I still need to deal with the indirect sunlight as cleanly as possible.

Thanks for the link btw…

I used this one : http://www.freestylephoto.biz/5331006-Lee-4x4-Filter-for-Gel-Snap-Infrared-87-100x100mm-Opaque?cat_id=1904

Not as big as you wish but I think it must exist in larger version.
