Great work on PyMT.  I’ve been playing with it for the past few hours.  I have a couple questions/issues if you have a second, though:

3D drawing app:
When I start drawing on the cow, the drawing area flickers grey/black constantly until staying solid grey.  Any idea what would be causing this?  (Looks like an openGL thing, but I’m not very experienced with it).

Kaswyweb’s (http://kaswy.free.fr/?q=en/node/38) apps:
I’m having a few errors with these applications, and I can’t seem to pin them down.  You show the google earth interface app in your video demo, so I decided to head on over there and check a few of his out.  Among some of the errors I get when trying to run his source:

ibar app:

"NameError: global name 'Config' is not defined"

which refers this line of code:

config Config(depth_size=0double_buffer=Truevsync=0)

I couldn’t find anything referring to changes in the Config function, so I’m a bit baffled.

Also, in his image manipulation app, photoo.py:

TypeError__init__() takes exactly 1 argument (2 given)

which is referring to this line of code:

TouchWindow.__init__(selfconfig)

The main reason I’m posting these issues with his code here is I’m trying to understand if there have been changes that would break these applications.  Thank you in advance for any assistance, and keep up the fantastic work!

EDIT:  I forgot to include the error from the GoogleEarth demo...all of them are different, so I’m a bit frustrated.
Error:

NameErrorname 'pyglet' is not defined

Code it’s referring to:

class Touch(pyglet.app.EventLoop):

@Novi
Recently there have been many good changes in the code of pymt, there may be compatibility problems ...
I do not have much time these days, but I will correct it as soon as possible.

@Pymt Dev Team
I had not yet had the opportunity to test the new version of pymt before, you did a big big work, bravo!
I love the menu NUI and I am impressed by the number of available examples.

Some guy apparently blocked by the use of openGL framebuffer objects , would it not be a substitute for that? Could we disable fbo for fullscreen operations ?

I hope I will have more time at the end of the month, I’d like to contribute more to this wonderful project.
I dream about a Pymt X10 Home Automation application, i have already some idea about it and some pieces of code .

keep up the good work.

@Novi
yeah, we have made some changes in pymt since kaswy wrote those apps.  He actually managed to make those really cool apps from a really early pre-release svn version of pymt.  He does have exe files builtd with py2exe on his website, which work fine without pymt installed at all (since it incluides teh version he had when building them).  If you are on windows that might be an option (gogle earth controller anyways only works on windows since it uses COM to talk to goolge earth process).  I will try to port them to teh new pymt backend soon (just opened an issue on our issue tracker).

@Pymt Dev Team

Congratulations on an amazing framework.  You guys have done some breathtaking work.  Seems like you guys just got started on this project a few months ago and I’m extremely impressed with how well it’s coming along.  Can’t wait to see what’s next from this group of remarkable developers.

@icube: if you want the source code its in the pymt svn or zip download in the examples/3ddrawing folder.
