Hi Guys,

I’ve been lurking on this forum for months now and before I get to my project, I just wanted to say thank you!

A few weeks ago I finally built my own LLP setup based on the original AlexP setup. I used two laser modules from AlexP with a custom power switch and for now mounted with putty. I created an aluminum frame with 1/4” plexiglass from my local hardware store and inset the screws so that they wouldn’t interfere with the lasers. I also used L-bars and glued black foam inside as laser edge guards. Rosco Grey is attached on the back of the acrylic with double sided tape. For projection I borrowed a NEC WT610 short throw projector from work. I’m running a PS3 Eye with IR filter removed and a 25mm 850nm bandpass filter from omegabob. I also made a custom mount for the ps3 eye to attach to a standard tripod. Below is a demo video as well as some photos. I’m planning a few more modifications, but I’m more eager to start developing some applications. smile

Thanks!

Goju , very nice setup. Love it. Looks pretty good , and the last pic imitates something like a standard desktop TFT monitor. smile

Thanks for the comments guys! smile

Pavel,

I bought the filter a few weeks ago. Here’s the link to the ebay auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Optical-Filter-850DF28-w-25mm-diameter-metal-ring_W0QQitemZ310093866941QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116

Keep in mind though, I’m running into the same problem that other members are reporting in regards to cutoff at the edges of the filter. To get around this for the time being, i have to move the camera a few feet further back to ensure that the entire screen is in the center of the view.
