Yeah a great idea cisco! Well done wink
Certainly the multi-cam approach would be the way to go to reduce/eliminate occlusion.

This seems like a great first project for me. A quick introduction to MT with materials I have on hand. What wattage are the bulbs? And, are they just regular tungsten bulbs?

Thanks guys I apreciate your oppinion.

Oclussion happens when you try to rotate a “object” with one hand but with two hands you can get away with it just dont block the camera.
It problably can get worse if you have two or more people toching it.  You have to remember that my light source is liner not a point so when you thouce it will `fill in` towards the botton.

I use two 40W normal WallMart bulbs. I want to try liner incandescent lighs they came with up to 40 inches long. If I get a stronger light I could narrow my light bean even more and that is going to be my next step.

See ya (I live in Canada hahaha)

It’s like LLP in that there is a plane of light just in front of the screen that scatters in all directions when your finger interrupts it. So yes your finger is what scatters the light. And no, the light is not under or within the screen, it is in front of it.

yes MY two cams and more light will be perfect.

I am working in a 17"W LCD coffe box with incandecent LLP,
light at top and botton, i reduced the “devide” to a layer of 3/4” thick that goes right on top of the LCD.
Almost there....

Let you Guys know..

I tried and it works well but, and having 200Watts of light close to you gets hot very quickly, So I gave up and order some leds.

here one more video that I did to show my budies at work.
