on one hand, the tracking of the fingers did not work reliably for me. on the other (and more grave side), i had big problems in flash with touch messages coming from reacTIVision. it always took 0.5 seconds for the touch to arrive in flash (which actually is a LOT). i tried to figure out everything why it behaved that way. it did not come from the touch processing in flash but from the transfer from reacTIVision to Flash (via Flosc). however, transfer of the fiducials/object messages worked nice and swift.

Cool just sent you a PM.  In any case, wow, I did not know that about ReactVision and flash, that is a huge problem, especially for gesture movements. I use Flash so that would be a major turn off to ReactVision. Do you happen to know if they are aware of the delay?

So in the end what is touchReac technology comprised of? Tuio 1.1? Flosc? CCV source?
It sounds like touchReac is a combination of CCV and Reactvision without the Flash drawbacks.

i don’t know if just i have the problem with reacTIVision. if everyone had these problems then someone would have told the reacTIVision team already.

touchReac is touchlib with an additional reacTIVision tracking filter. it uses the OSC functionality from touchlib so in that way it behaves exactly like touchlib.
