Eugene has just ported Memo’s fluid solver work to AS3 http://blog.inspirit.ru/?p=248.

With the source now out, we were able to quickly add touch support and it works great! Thanks to cyandesign and simpleex for keeping me on my toes.

DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION HERE

Attached is both source and the application. You can find the swf in the bin folder inside.

Brilliant work Seth! I cannot wait to get to my table to try it out and take a look at the code tonight.
Was there any kind of major hurdle you had to work through to get it running?

Haha jimi! Jimi, it actually works quite fast in flash too! I’m very surprised since in c++ it used to have a slow down occasionally.

Cynadesign: no real hurdles. It actually only about 4 lines of code to make it multitouch. The biggest issue was our current TUIO classes not sending dY/dY through the event system. So I added that in and i’ll commit that to touchlib svn tonight. Also, for some reason I had to switch dY and dY in the Main.as to get the right velocities. Without it, both tbeta and tuio simulator and simtouch had opposite values; a bit stumped by that one, but it works.

You can find the swf in the bin folder inside. Load it in flashplayer like the other flash demos.

For some reason the demos in the BIN folder don’t seem to pick up any touch interactions only ones with the mouse? Is there anything that i am doing wrong?
