Just found a news from this. Take a look! Would this community be interested to develop a low-budget product from this?

Primary features:
-Capacitive tech.
-Can use stylys and fingernails
-Unlimited multi-touch
-Includes algorithms to provide gestures
-reports also touch width and width of a line drawn
-very fast response

That looks really really nice… Curious to find out more about this technique. The video on that site is pretty lame (video editted) ^^

Well. Now it is public.

MaxTouch chip supports unlimited amount of touches, gestures, and has a unintended touch reduction technology built in on a single small chip. And has a scan time of 100Hz. Looks GOOD!

Should NUIgroup design an open hardware solution and software for this?

EDIT:

Damn! It says that maxtouch supports display areas to 10.1”. So it isn’t yet suitable for real multitouch screens… (like 32")
