I am currently researching the working of such multitouch tables as can be found on this forum. I am understand that it’s using a camera which doesn’t have any infrared filter. Because of this you dont see colours anymore. Now I am curious if anyone happen to have some recordings of what exactly sees. I would expect some grayscale image which then can be detected.

Does anyone want to share some simple captures maybe some movement from left to right, or circle drawing. Just some simple stuff ? Because then I can experiment with it before I am really working on it. Thanks. I hope to be able to work on building something like this later one. Currently working on finishing the school year.

This a video i did at the very start on my multitouch project, this is filmed without a projector in a dark room.  With a projector it looks very much like that apart from I get a few IR hotspots reflecting off the acrylic from the projector bulb. This is the raw camera image before the software has done any background subtraction on the image.

those that say it can’t be done shouldn’t interrupt those doing it
