I was wondering what the best way to develop iPhone apps on Windows is? I’ve looked around, however I cannot seem to find anything that works for me… Any ideas?

dont want to promote piracy but time ago i had installed a modified OSX into a virtual machine (VM Ware) for “research” purpose smile
It was running painfully slow though. When you have a really fast PC you could try this way.
you can get a modified OSX ISO on bittorrent. Maybe it got some updates
meanwhile to solve the performance issues.
have my doubts though that iPhone SDK will run properly on this..

I am running it on a pretty old PC by todays standards (Pentium D).
The performance is fine. The only issue I have run into is that the debugger does not work. This is a pretty old PC so more hacking was required to get it running which means little things here and there don’t work like they should. On a recent system like a Core 2 Duo it would probably work fine since you don’t need modified kernels and the system is less hackish overall.
