Hello,

I am a longtime lurker, first time poster.  I have setup a multi-touch prototype and have been slowly but surely getting things to work.  A week or two ago, I downloaded the new 1.0 beta version of the TouchLib software (bins) and am having some problems.

I confirmed that Flash 9 is installed and I installed Platform SDK.  Then I unzipped the Touchlib beta 1.0 stuff onto the desktop.  I ran the config app and had no problems with that.  The smoke app runs fine as well.  However, when I try to run the flash apps, nothing.  My method is just as is stated in the readme… start server.bat, start vision.bat and then start one of the flash clients.  If I look at the camera filter windows and terminal window I can see that touches are being recognized, but it seems that they are not being passed to Flash.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A couple other things that may or not be related to this problem…

PC = Intel duo-core with 2gig ram
camera = logitech Quickcam pro 5000
I don’t seem to be able to quit the server.bat group normally and always have to end program.

Thanks,
Purkolator

When you start FLOSC, does it say connected? If it doesn’t say connected then that is the problem. Make sure you have the latest java installed so that FLOSC works properly and says connected. You may also want to try starting FLOSC first, then start up OSC.exe, and lastly start up flash application.

OK!  Installing Java runtime seemed to do the trick.  I still cant’ seem to get the ripples app going, but both the paint and photo apps are working well.

thanks all!
