@martin: Thanks very much for you help; I still had issues when trying to use you updated TUIO.cpp; after changing slightly to compile properly still noted same problems. Thus I rolled back to CCV 1.2 implementation of TUIO.cpp and still was not getting proper update events within client which is making me think its an external issue outside our communication classes (not sure how considering the noted changes) but I’m reverting any related changes and will keep you posted.

@Flo: Yes, right now it’s PS3, there is have been patches submitted to support more cameras however its very dependent on camera drivers so we are still considering best routes on implementing for more cameras and cross-platform. See:

http://nuigroup.com/forums/viewthread/5978/
http://nuicode.com/issues/175
http://nuicode.com/issues/438

@cityguru: Yes you still have to install a Alex’s system level driver for PS3 you can get here: http://nuigroup.com/forums/viewthread/6903/

@branca Yea still working on it… but gotta get some sleep for now so look forward to seeing it in next day or two and sorry about the problems… really should be easy to fix just seems to currently elude me.

@blueray its a known issue in the 1.3 alpha release, please try using CCV 1.2 until we fix our communication stack. You can download it here: http://nuicode.com/projects/tbeta/files

Hey Christian,
apparently I overlooked a few message variable names in the haste.
here is the fixed version, let me know if that works for you.
I didn’t have the chance to compile the full package yet, since I am traveling,
but if you continue to have problems even with your older code, I will try to have a deeper look at it.
best, Martin.K

Christian, when you wrote

Do you mean Alexp’s regular driver? http://alexpopovich.wordpress.com/2008/10/02/sony-ps3eye-camera-directshow-capture-source-filter/ found here which is just the execcutable, or do i need to first download v3.0.0.0901 and then afterwards download PS3EyeMulticam.rar and then update the driver?

Or do i just extract PS3EyeMulticam.rar and then plug in the camera into the system and point it to the extracted directory for drivers? thanks

There also seem to be an issue with the blob movement threshold. When setting the slider between 0 and 1 (just before it turns to 1) it doesn’t have any effect and as soon as you set it to 1 you need to move at least 5cm to make the tracked blob move.

Hi!

Is it possible to send to TUIO and Flash at the same time? It would be very useful..

Greets and thanks for the time you spend on this project!

Yes i’ve noticed that there is a problem with the blob movement threshold as well.  I need to set it to zero for it to move smoothly.

I’m also experiencing problems with the current checkout version of CCV where the camera framerate performance has dropped significantly as compared to CCV 1.2.  I’m using FFMV and as far as i know, I have not tweaked any of the codes for the FFMV in CCV recently.  Anyone knows why?  I’m getting only 22FPS at 640x480.

Make sure you are using USB 2.0 ports for both cameras. This is very important since cameras will only work on high speed ports.

I too am very interested in the Camera kits.  I understand they will have standard mounting brackets.  What I would like to see is two holes on each of the four sides, along with mounting brackets.  With these holes a person could screw into place metal pieces that could then be screwed into the interior of the table.
