@martin: Thanks very much for you help; I still had issues when trying to use you updated TUIO.cpp; after changing slightly to compile properly still noted same problems. Thus I rolled back to CCV 1.2 implementation of TUIO.cpp and still was not getting proper update events within client which is making me think its an external issue outside our communication classes (not sure how considering the noted changes) but I’m reverting any related changes and will keep you posted.

@Flo: Yes, right now it’s PS3, there is have been patches submitted to support more cameras however its very dependent on camera drivers so we are still considering best routes on implementing for more cameras and cross-platform. See:

apparently I overlooked a few message variable names in the haste.

I didn’t have the chance to compile the full package yet, since I am traveling,

Do you mean Alexp’s regular driver? http://alexpopovich.wordpress.com/2008/10/02/sony-ps3eye-camera-directshow-capture-source-filter/ found here which is just the execcutable, or do i need to first download v3.0.0.0901 and then afterwards download PS3EyeMulticam.rar and then update the driver?

Or do i just extract PS3EyeMulticam.rar and then plug in the camera into the system and point it to the extracted directory for drivers? thanks

There also seem to be an issue with the blob movement threshold. When setting the slider between 0 and 1 (just before it turns to 1) it doesn’t have any effect and as soon as you set it to 1 you need to move at least 5cm to make the tracked blob move.

Any update oder good news for ccv 1.3a ?
only ccv 1.3a works stable on my system (for a resolution of 640x480)
CCV 1.2 crash unter this resolution ... after 1 to 10 minutes

I use 3 cameras in my setup and if i can use all ps3eye it would be perfect!

As far as I know it supports only 2 cams ATM.

the PS3EyeMulticamTest.exe says i have 2 cameras connected to teh computer but on my CCV1.3a nothing happens. I get a black image.

Does anybody have the same issue as me?

Yes i’ve noticed that there is a problem with the blob movement threshold as well.  I need to set it to zero for it to move smoothly.

I’m also experiencing problems with the current checkout version of CCV where the camera framerate performance has dropped significantly as compared to CCV 1.2.  I’m using FFMV and as far as i know, I have not tweaked any of the codes for the FFMV in CCV recently.  Anyone knows why?  I’m getting only 22FPS at 640x480.

Make sure you are using USB 2.0 ports for both cameras. This is very important since cameras will only work on high speed ports.

@Martin: just wanted to say that the fix u have made works like a dream on my 30 Inch LLP setup and macbook pro running windows7 and HID driver.

I too am very interested in the Camera kits.  I understand they will have standard mounting brackets.  What I would like to see is two holes on each of the four sides, along with mounting brackets.  With these holes a person could screw into place metal pieces that could then be screwed into the interior of the table.
