Nice,
But you didn’t tell me why not the other available types ?
Is there a problem in 3 mm depth ?
Are you putting the RP over the Endlighten ? Is there any reference for this to work ?
Thanks

@basem

ive asked and they didnt have any 7D006…
yes the RP will lay on top ...at least that was what works best according to all DSI+7D006 projects.

im actually setting ob the basic measurements with all components inside a cardbox… then im going to start to build the wooden frame etc.

ill upload some pictures when first adjustments are done!

btw: for all of you who are searcing the BEST led strips available for a good price (60pc. per meter with 5050SMDs)...PM me =)

last week i ordered my new 7D006 - its available again =)
utill it arrives ive build up a quick setup to test both cameras with PS3 driver & CCV.

im using the 3528LED (390pc./5m) strip from peau as i dont have the newer 5050 strip yet. it seems as if i dont have enough IR…

i can switch between “video mode” and “use cameras” in CCV but how can i see each single camera picture?
do you think my illumination is going to improve as soon as i use my deep u-channels?

im stuck right now...=(

i dont know whats wrong… i taped my led strip all around the endlighten, laced both (peau) ps3 cams below - installed the cams correctly and started CCV - im touching the endlighten directly and dont get any blobs… why?

do you think its because i havent peeled the protective foil off the endlighten sheet...but that shouldnt result in such bad blobs cuz im going o put the 7D006 on top.... rolleyes

im uploading two videos… should be ready in 15 minutes.

here are some pictures of my wood box - its made of “usb-mdf"-wood - light & stable. height is 92cm.

So you’re getting blobs that look just fine in ccv, what’s the problem?

From your Videos i see no Problems, as you get bright blobs. (What settings are in the Max Blobsize? Not that you cut off the Blobs from TUIO sending red face )
But you should peel of the protective foil!!! You will see that your get a different Image. (If you frightened about scratches you could start with a tiny piece at one edge to test).
How is your illumination on the center of your surface? From my tests with LED-stripes (not the 5050) i had problems to get the same bright illumination in the center as on the edges if the distance is more than 50cm. I only used LEDs on two sites as i get to bright corners when illuminate all four sites.

THX!

@peau & sloopi
so my blobs are good? i think i understood something wrong… arent the blobs supposed to show up at my fingertips...not my arm? i cant use the calibration because i cant touch the corners so i have to adjust the video-settings in CCV… but is there any tutorial or wiki where i could get more info or ...can you help me adjusting CCV ? I also dont have a clue how to stitch properly...:(

@sloppi
whats your endl. size ? im using XXL, 115x75cm, 10mm

@peau
im using the 2.1mm lense - any tips how to place the two cameras? - i placed them 58cm away

From the video , i would say that your settings are too sensitive, as the blobs are very big. It’s hard to say what settings you should use as it’s depends on your lightning, diffuser material and your camera optics. But i try to have small blobs when i touch with the fingertips. If it’s to sensitive you get blobs even if you above the surface without touching, or other parts of you hand/arm make false blobs.
But first you should peel of the protective foil!!!

I used a 10mm sheet with 42cm width where the stripes are applied. So there is just a little brightness difference between the edges and the center.

You can keep the protective plastic on or off, as you’re making a DSI setup which should work with layers ontop of the Endlighten (like the 7D***) materials and even hovering.

As sloopodoppi said above, play around with your settings.  They are dependent on your lighting environment and make take awhile to fine tune them.  Keep in mind that not all the filters (in ccv) need to be on.  Meaning, if you don’t need say Amplify for instance, click the yellow box below it and turn it off.

The 2.1mm lenses should overshoot your screen and should not be set so that you have the edge of the viewed area of the camera as the edge of the touch screen.  The extreme curvature of the fisheye lens will make it so that you will get very dim blobs at the edges (if any at all, which sounds like why you can’t touch the corners).  Move the cameras back or make your projector’s image smaller.
