I have a few questions about this diagrams http://nuigroup.com/wiki/Diffused_Illumination_Plans/ .They do not contain information about IR leds , but if i where to just use a camera whitout the IR filter in it and with some negatives over it , a light bulb an acrylic panel or something similar and tracing paper under the acrylic panel.
Would that work whitout needing IR leds?Is that the diference between FTIR and DI?Beacause i`ve been reading alot of stuff about FTIR but have just come across of DI and can’t really find that much information explained clearely in one place. So baisicly it dosn’t use IR leds of any kind , just a powefull bulb or lamp?

the plans call for a light source that produces both visible and IR wavelengths. This simplifies the setup from needing a independent source of visible light and IR. The second one is if you don’t have an LCD screen acting as the projector.  The second one is where you need an indepentent source of IR with no visable light from a bulb.
