Hey Alex,

The procedure is simple: create a new scene while you have the uniTUIO project open. Now you have an empty scene with a camera inside. Go to the prefabs and drop the scene manager on your scene. Make a plane or a qube or a sphere GameObject. Put this GameObject in the “touchableObjects” layer. Go to the scripts and drop the “BBBasicTouchManipulation” on your GameObject. you are set now. Hit play and have fun.

I have attached an older PDF file to this thread. But you should really watch the videos they are coming with uniTUIO grin

Regarding the cursor position - sorry but a can not say anything only by watching the little piece of screenshot without further informations… Could you please open up a new thread on this forum for support??? I would like to keep this thread for annoucements - THX!!!!

Cheers,

Sandor

glad you like the project. Here in short:

1. dowload Unity from http://www.unity3d.com and install it
2. download uniTUIO_CE.zip and unzip it
3. you will find now 3 movies and a new zipfile
4. unzip this zipfile
5. now you will see a new folder structure like this:

uniTUIO
> Assets
>> Images
>>…
>> Scenes
> Library

6. double klick on one of the scenes in the Scene folder, this should open upt the project and also the scene
7. have fun!

Hey very nice job you have done.
I got a question, is uniTUIO usable with CCV tracker ?
Because we have a project to build a multitouch table at the faculty, but we were developping it using Python and pyMT but we would really enjoy to use unity.
thanks

Hi Titor,

thank you for the kind words. Yes, uniTUIO is usable with CCV - as with any TUIO capable vison system (like reactivision, tbeta, touch’e, xTOUCh etc.) and also with some MT-displays where a TUIO bridge exists… If you have further questions - just ask wink

Cheers,

Sandor

Thanks for your fast answer.
These videos you made are really interesting.
When you’re satisfied with your app you just launch it in Unity and your camera tracks the fingers, sends through TUIO the data and uniTUIO receive them ?

Nope - actualy you build the whole app in Unity. You can test everything in the editor using the Mouse (holding down the “apple” key simulates a second touch, the option a third touch) or you can test directly using a TUIO device. uniTUIO is part of the Unity workfolw (a bounch of scripts) and will take care for receiving the TUIO data and the handling of the touches inside Unity. Just download Unity and uniTUIO and try it by yourself - it’s really very straight forward. When you are satisfyed with your app you will build a binary for Windows or for Mac from inside Unity....

Hey sandor, I have another question about uniTUIO
Is there some kind of easy way to do gesture recognition ?
Like if the user is tracing a circle then i can recognize the circle and perform some kind of action ?
