Hey guys, we are building an FTIR surface and everything is ready but tbeta can’t recognize our blobs/fingers, they are tooo small or even not visible.

We only have one day left to finalize our project and present friday in school.

Do we have to make a silicon surface/ compliant surface on our polycarbonate/glass? Until today we are working without compliant surface, we just only have polycarbonate/plexiglass in our setup. The IR-LEDs are at the sides and edges of the plexiglass/polycarbonate surface. (still FTIR)

It’s german but here is our project wiki: http://gso.huetter-it.de/wiki/doku.php?id=natural_user_interface

Can you post some screenshots of CCV running so we can see the blob issues?

If you have only one day, then theres no time for creating a compliant surface.
You can try another thing: LED-LP (the leds are a little bit over the surface).
Then you will get large blobs, but no single finger—but you have two hands wink

Ubuntu, TBeta-1.1, modified quickcam pro: ok—1.2, svn-head doesnt work

You can also try in CCV to amplify the picture.
(I’ planing also such a project in Essen from 7-13.2—therefore I have some time for experiments)

Why not? Tomorrow we’ll have some transparent silicon (and silicon spray too) and we’ll make a compiliant surface. (I hope so)
Amplify does help, but i don’t think the blobs are so fine. (Tomorrow we will test more and post some screenshots!)

Thanks for your answers!
