I am not sure if this has been posted or done before but instead of ir leds why not sent a line laser into the acrylic?
The laser would bounce around and also probably only one powerful laser would be necessary.
Haven’t tried this yet and i am not sure i will be able to get an ir laser so if anyone has already tried it please let me know.
