Well I’m a bit drunked, but i’ve got windows 7 64 bit too and everything is working great.
I think that there is something missing in your system. Maybe you missed some ddl’s. I suggest trying dependency walker to check that.

Hi,

Firstly, thanks for the new tracker.

i’m curious on how does the movement filtering works?

Because i have a gesture which in my application that when i have 2 fingers holding down, it will trigger something. However, using this version of CCV, no matter how still i put my fingers down, there is still small calculated movement in the blobs, which in my case cancels off the gesture recognition

Previously, using the movement threshold, this gesture will work. I guess i have to put the threshold algorithm at the app level. Is there a way around?

Regards

could it be that the most of that 10 times more count of windows users downloading CCV just out of boredom, or maybe because they oftenly formatting their hard drive to get rid of viruses, or they simply lose files in a mess? Anyway downloading counter is not an indication of users needs! IMHO, you were supposed to decide this by voting on the forum.

I couldn’t get this running on Win 7 64-bit with the install alone.  I went to “Devices & Printers” and open USB Camera-B4.04.27.1.  Under the “Hardware” tab, I selected PS3Eye Camera and clicked “Properties”.  Under the the “driver” tab, I just clicked the “Update Driver...” button and updated from the Internet.  A few seconds later everything automagically was right with the world and I’m back in action.

Are you doing the sector/angle map technique for gesture recognition?  If so, you should set a minimum distance between points before recording direction.  I generally require the next point to be 5 - 10 pixels (depending on resolution) from the last point before recording it.  Less nodes to work with (faster) and less “noise” for better accuracy.

i think i found the problem

i use the tuio library for Processing (java) and i run the tuio demo

u can find it here :

http://processing.org/download/

and the library + example :

http://www.tuio.org/?processing

if i run ccv 1.2 , all work fine but sometimes i have a weird bug and it crash (i think its because sometimes there is more than 20 blob at the same time)

if irun ccv 1.3 , it seems to send no data or nothing the tuio library understand

if i run ccv 1.3 mod by MachineGun , the only data i receive is when all the fingers leave the screen in the demo video .  The tuio demo receive only information about the cursor 0

one example :

listening for TUIO messages on port 3333
add cursor 0 (70) 0.25736082 0.011869431
update cursor 0 (70) 0.25736082 0.011869431 31.182522 0.86618114
remove cursor 0 (70)
add cursor 0 (110) 0.26509434 0.03630966
update cursor 0 (110) 0.26509434 0.03630966 0.0 1.743624E-39
remove cursor 0 (110)
add cursor 0 (150) 0.2648198 0.035970747
update cursor 0 (150) 0.2648198 0.035970747 0.0 1.743624E-39
remove cursor 0 (150)
add cursor 0 (190) 0.26508793 0.036801845
update cursor 0 (190) 0.26508793 0.036801845 0.0 1.743624E-39
remove cursor 0 (190)
add cursor 0 (229) 0.26508793 0.036801845
update cursor 0 (229) 0.26508793 0.036801845 0.0 1.743624E-39
remove cursor 0 (229)
add cursor 0 (268) 0.26508793 0.036801845
update cursor 0 (268) 0.26508793 0.036801845 0.0 1.743624E-39
remove cursor 0 (268)
add cursor 0 (330) 0.26508793 0.036801845
update cursor 0 (330) 0.26508793 0.036801845 0.0 1.743624E-39
remove cursor 0 (330)
add cursor 0 (369) 0.26508793 0.036801845
update cursor 0 (369) 0.26508793 0.036801845 0.0 1.743624E-39
remove cursor 0 (369)

i tryed the smoke demo and same thing , ccv 1.2 is fine and 1.3 does nothing

this is strange , always the same numbers after some cycles of the video ...
so i guess the problem comes from the way you count or send blob information

does it tell you something ?

Hi, has anybody gotten the demos fully working with CCV 1.3? When using CCV 1.2, I am able to utilize my entire touch area (i.e. the area my camera is capturing) in the Flash Demos.  However, with CCV 1.3, the demo’s seem to be scaled up alot, such that only about 25% (or less) of my touch area is recognized in the Flash Demos. Any ideas??
