I’m a fan of home automation, with large experience in this field, I got the idea to build a coffee table type multitouch DSi certainly, and associate a multitouch interface has dedicated home automation + media center. For the soft part (c + +), a friend encoder is dejas walk to work.

In this project, there are three imperatives:

The first is cited above is a coffee table, which said low so small
100x50x56.

The second: to reduce noise at maximum not want to hear the fans or other mechanical device, again it is a coffee table.

the third is going to advocate that table in the middle of the room, then seen by everyone, she must have a pleasant and professional look.

The materials:

* A screen lcd hd 37 inches
* One webcam sony PS3
* A plate of plexi type EndLighten thickness 8 mm
* LED ribbon 850NM
* Target camera sony PS3 2.1 mm wide 116 degree angle mount m12 and a bye pass filter infrared, replacing the original.
* A chassis made of aluminum (type pro)
* 4 sheets of Plexiglas painted black for the walls

I’m sorry for my English

im also buidling a DSI table with similar parts, just a little bigger. can you give more info about the dimension (e.g. distance to screen, projector, framing etc.) ?

the size 100x50x56, I’ll probably lower the height was 40, because it is an ideal size for a coffee table, so using two Webcan ps3 is therefore needed. I tested with two ccv3 webcam it works fine, but not yet tested with the table, but just local.this weekend installation of the diffuser in the matrix LCD and also install the second camera and also component pc

this weekend installation of PC components, and testing of the diffuser together with the original.

the picture does not show well because of the flash, but it is very bright, brightness is at 50%

Place the diffuser below the matrix LCD

so the defuser that came with the lcd goes behind it to stop ghosting
and how did you get such brilliant lighting from the distance? I know its powerful but it seems to good to be true smile

thanks,
yes, it IS two boards especially for dismantling an LCD, be careful to fcc (flat flexible cable), the lesser will fold or tear off your screen, the second the positionnnement of the fcc matrix LCD, will determine the structure (frame) of your MT.
