DLP vs LCD

Hey does anyone have any advice on which type of projector to use for a multitouch display? What would you say the advantages and disadvantages of each are?

P.S sorry if this question’s been asked before I searched but couldn’t find much information

I found that dlp does not produce that much IR, don’t know about lcd, dlp has better contrast? maybe

LCD
price range: starts at low prices
resolution: starts at 800x600 up to hdtv, widescreen avaialble
visibile pattern: screendoor effect
colors: good
contrast: ok
emitting light: normal light, incl ir light
light intensity: ok
mobility: good
dust sensitive: yes
db: ok, (cooling)
burn, dead pixel: yes
setup: easy, can be placed with a light angle??
short projection: ??

DLP
price range: same like LCD, low entry but i little bit more expansive then LCD
resolution: starts at 800x600 up to hdtv, widescreen avaialble
visibile pattern: rainbow (the cheap ones)
colors: pretty good
contrast: good
emitting light: white light
light intensity: pretty good
mobility: ok
dust sensitive: no
db: loud (cooling + colorwheel)
burn, dead pixel: no
setup: easy, can be placed with a light angle??
short projection: ??

my 2 cents from my 2 day research ;(

please add as much as possible and correct me when i m wrong!!!!!! THX!

do you mean that we need hot mirror to block emitting IR? since it probably will cause “ghost” blob
