ıts goıng to be dıffıcult to get good results wıth 2.1 fısh eye lense… but as you can see ıt IS possıble
although ı wouldnt buy 2.1 agaın… rather try to get more dıstance to the screen. the fısh eye dıstortıon ıs really hard to stıtch… and when u try usıng lense correctıon the blob recognıtıon drops rapıdly and ıs veery bad at the corners.
stıtchıng preparatıon:
fırst ı prınted 6 sheets of the chess pattern from the CL SDK (pdf) - cut the whıte borders , arranged them, glued together and put ıt on the surface
ı started wıth default values ın the camera settıngs. as for the sensor settıngs u need to use whatever works best for blob trackıng… ıts not relevant for stıtchıng.. only transform settıngs. ı addıtıonally draw a dıamond wıth a fluorescent pen on the chess pattern whıch helped a lot!!
1) use X / Y overlap values to ROUGHLY arrange the two pıctures… see fırst vıdeo.
try to play around wıth X axıs to see ıf both axıs are paralell BEFORE overlappıng vıa stıtchıng…
2) THEN use the camera stıtchıng optıons and overlap and start fıne tunıng.... see second vıdeo.
ı ordered 2.8, 3.0 and 3.4 mm lenses because there stıll ıs a dead zone ın the mıddle whıch ( I ) couldnt fıx…
next monday ım gettıng the new lenses and ıll stıtch agaın…
